THE WOLF PACK FIGHTS BACK
I know, I’m the knucklehead who always writes about something connected to music, movies, or pop culture. I offer the “fluff” and I’m not the deep thinking philosopher guy. So this time I think I’ve found a way to be a little of everything.
For me to think the world has gone completely off the reservation says everything about how far it’s actually fallen. Mobs, and they are mobs, of self‑anointed Priests and Priestesses, shrieking for a “safe space”. Safe indeed, as long as it’s populated exclusively by their own clones, that should be enough to make anyone question reality, but not so much.
Am I really the only one who sees the dark comedy twists, of a wolf-pack of wannabe revolutionaries demanding change while marching in perfect lockstep with the same conformity they claim to fight? God help you, if you don’t salute these jack‑boot, goose‑stepping zealots, you’re not debated or challenged, you’re erased, written out, “cancelled” like you never existed.
Free thinking has been repackaged and rebranded to fit two options of thought, the left and the right. Neither uses the divide and conquer mentality and manipulation theory; now it’s an “Either you’re with us or against us” mentality. And like speech, it’s neither free, nor does it require thinking. They’ll tell you what to say, what to think, and what to do…hell, their the silicon valley programmers of their political parties.
I’m drawing a line in the sand. Not for one side and not for the other. That line will be the space in between where independent thought is still allowed to breathe.
We live in a time where every headline is a trigger, every disagreement becomes a bloodsport, and every knee-jerk reaction feeds the very machines profiting off our division. Both sides scream “evil empire” at each other, while neither seems willing to admit they’ve become loyal foot soldiers to their own.
That stops with me because there is no set hour when the country will just decides to heal. It will eventually happen, but slower, uglier, and less dramatically than people want. Not through one speech, one election, one law, or one viral moment or one person. It will happen when enough people get exhausted by the constant poison and start choosing something else, even in small ways. When the performance of hatred stops being more rewarding than the work of understanding. When we stop waiting for that Savior to appear and lead us.
America will not “become one” by suddenly agreeing on everything. That is fantasy, it is never going to happen. The healthier version is that people stop treating disagreement like war, stop needing enemies to define themselves, and start seeing each other as fellow citizens again instead of targets, tribes, or abstractions.
That shift starts when leaders stop profiting from division. When media stops monetizing outrage as a business model. When ordinary people stop confusing cruelty with strength; when enough of us decide that being right is not more important than being human.
So the answer is: it happens when we choose it, over and over, long before the country officially “feels” united. And the ugly truth is this; unity comes only after people finally realize the hatred is costing more than the compromise.
WE are the saviors…how many decades do we need to finally realize that? There is no easy answer, but there are steps. We as a whole need to become harder to manipulate. We need to reward truth over adrenaline by building institutions close to home. We need to learn to verify before reacting. We need to start cutting off money and attention to professional arsonists. Next we need to remember that fellow Americans are not the enemy nearly as often as the people getting rich by convincing us they are. That is how a society pushes back without becoming the very monster it claims to hate.
Will Smith’s famous line in “Men in Black”; ‘Don't start nothing, there won't be nothing”, they already started something and we need to finish it. To quote Alan Garner, “And I'm just the guy to do it!”
Because “When you listen to fools…THE MOB RULES”, we can’t let that continue any longer. Wanna join a revolution that’s only backed by thinking, not by “profits of rage”? More talk, less reactionary, more evolutionary….
